Agency Power’s Intercooler Duct Cover for the Can-Am Maverick X3 is a product that all X3 owners will want to be equipped with!  This simple design change can greatly benefit your UTV’s performance and efficiency. By design, intercoolers work by taking the air flow from the outside to cool the hot air inside the intercooler parts.  Getting more air flow to the intercooler helps with this process.  This is why you will see automotive and off-road aftermarket users trimming up bumpers or grills to improve air flow.  In the Can-Am X3 intercooled models, the air is directed to the intercooler with a cover that features ducts/scoops right behind the rear seats.  These inlets on this cover feed the top side of the intercooler the fresh air it needs.  Using the same location and improving the size of scoops Agency Power has created an OEM replacement product that is stylish and a great way to increase air flow to the intercooler.

The Agency Power upgraded intercooler duct cover increases the center scoop from 1.5 inches to 4 inches tall and each side scoop from 1.5 inches to 2 inches with all keeping a 4 inch width. The intercooler duct cover increases the inlet air flow by over 40% from 32 cu in to 46 cu in. Made from a durable ABS plastic similar to the stock unit, it features a smooth black finish.  The intercooler duct covers feature the AP logo and are designed to fit over the stock intercooler or the Agency Power intercooler.  For those that want to customize further, the cover can be easily primed and painted by your local paint shop. Upgrade your Can-Am X3 with 154hp to the 2018+ Can-Am X3 with 172hp using this new fan upgrade from Agency Power.  The horsepower upgrade requires a 2018+ Can-Am X3 fuel pump, ECU tune, and this fan.  If you are researching this part, you will see you can only buy the intercooler with the fan from the dealer.  That is a $675+ part!  The OEM manufacture of the fan is by SPAL of Italy.  These were directly made for Can-Am to handle the increase in horsepower by using a more powerful electric motor and different fan blade design.  This increases the CFM which helps keep the charge temperatures down and the power up!  This is an absolutely MUST have for any 2017 Can-Am X3 owner.  It can also be used as a direct OEM replacement of the stock one should anything happen to it.  Agency Power has put the correct connector on the SPAL fan to make this a 100% plug and play design.

Upgrading the intercooler or adding an intercooler to the Can-Am X3 120HP and 154HP models is one of the best upgrades and necessary to get the most power from the vehicle.  For those that have the 154HP version, the only difference is the fan between the 2018+ 172HP version which you can buy an upgraded one and bolt on.  For those that have the non-intercooled version, you could buy the upgraded fan and the Agency Power larger intercooler, but there is no way to bolt them together.  Unfortunately Can-Am does not sell just the shroud. From the factory the Textron Wildcat XX is a very capable off-road vehicle. As with most vehicles from the factory, there is always more performance that can be had by swapping out a restrictive stock exhaust. The new Agency Power exhaust and header system is designed and engineered as a complete unit to let the high performance three-cylinder engine breathe freely. The bellow flex tube header adds flow and power while the race-ready muffler gives a unique sound. The unique titanium burnt and polished exhaust tip adds style over all other standard Wildcat XX exhausts. This package is a perfect addition for any owner looking for style, high performance and sound.

The Agency Power Header for the Wildcat XX is made from T304 stainless steel mandrel bent tubes that have been precision TIG welded. The header has a flange made to bolt to the factory heads, a bung to re-install the factory O2 sensor along with a new V-band clamp to connect to the Agency Power exhaust muffler. The pipe diameters off the heads are quickly increased to 1 7/8” and then unite at a larger more robust collector. The use of a bellow flex tube after the collector allows for better flow and flexibility during acceleration and keeps the system from developing cracks over exceptionally rough terrain.

Designed to work exclusively with the AP header, the Agency Power muffler uses the factory exhaust mount locations to install for a direct bolt-on fit. The performance resonator muffler outlet has been designed with integrated spark arrestors into the exhaust tip. The polished and titanium exhaust tip gives a show finish to the rear end of the Wildcat XX.  The machine now has an aggressive look with a satisfying sound.

The Agency Power header and exhaust also saves weight. The factory system tops out at 27lbs while the AP header and exhaust combo only weighs 21lbs. With this six pound savings, the sprung weight of the vehicle is reduced, making the job of the suspension easier.

In order to be sure of horsepower gain, the Textron Wildcat XX was run back to back on the dyno to keep all the variables the same except for the header and exhaust. On a UTV with a stock tune, the header and exhaust made a bolt-on gain of five horsepower. While this isn’t breaking any records, netting an additional five horsepower is tough to do on any modern UTV with a simple bolt-on exhaust and no modifications or tune. Overall, the header and exhaust is a great product to add as your first upgrade or during your build to improve power. The Agency Power Textron Wildcat XX Header and Exhaust Systems have been engineered to perfection!
